Studies Establishing the Dangers of Asbestos

Over the years, several scientific studies that have established the dangers of asbestos exposure, which include the following:

• One study found that workers at a Connecticut Factory, which manufactured friction products containing asbestos, experienced a significantly increased risk of being diagnosed with mesothelioma.
• A study of a motor vehicle plant found that workers had a much higher rate of laryngeal and lung cancer than those from many other environments. These workers used asbestos on a daily basis to create various automobile parts including brake lining.
• Another study found that there was an increased rate of mesothelioma among workers at a factory that made gas masks. Because these workers handled asbestos on a frequent basis, they were much more likely to end up inhaling asbestos, which could result in several deadly types of medical conditions.
